Mark is a very busy Business Development Consultant who attends lots of meetings throughout the day. His Inbox was getting busier and he felt it was time to call for some help. He asked me to help with his email and diary management initially, just for an hour a week. As his business grows, so does his workload and we find more tasks that I can help him with. Things he may not have thought of handing over to myself. As I learn more about how he works, I can see where I can step in and lighten the load for him a little more.
He has now passed the organisation of monthly networking events onto myself, to invite attendees, log availability and keep everyone updated. I also liaise with the event venues with regards to the bookings.
At times I am the ‘voice of reason’ when he has just too much in his diary and he needs to take a step back and prioritise his time. I am also someone to chat things through with sometimes, as working on your own can be hard work and it is good to have someone to look at things from another perspective.
